Paul Taylor, AIA
Paul Taylor is the founding principal and president of Stonehill & Taylor. His extensive architectural, interiors, and management experience brings a wealth of varied knowledge to each project. He provides the firm with a broad-based ability to conceive and expedite projects within established schedules and cost parameters. Paul specializes in hospitality design and brings an unparalleled level of expertise to each of the firm’s projects. His interest in creative design solutions, evolving technologies, and construction techniques are widely recognized by owners, construction managers, and developers, as well as his fellow professionals.
Henry Meltzer, AIA
Henry Meltzer is the executive vice president and principal-in-charge of the health/sciences group at Stonehill & Taylor. He has specialized in the design and equipping of leading healthcare facilities since 1969. His expertise in healthcare facilities has tremendously benefited the firm’s clinical, research, academic, and private practice clients. Henry’s thorough understanding of the complex equipment and space needs for these facilities results in design solutions which uniquely optimize the space. He has been recognized as a leader in healthcare design through his work for some of the nation’s most prestigious institutions, including NYU Langone Medical Center, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical College, Columbia University Medical Center, Yale-New Haven Hospital, and the Hospital for Joint Diseases, Orthopedic Institute, New York.
Steven Oakley, AIA
Steven Oakley is a principal of Stonehill & Taylor and brings over 25 years of experience programming, planning, and designing health, science and education facilities. His projects are defined and delivered through an engaged end user focused design process. Throughout his career, Steve has focused on leveraging operational criteria and improving work flow of research laboratory environments for scientific discovery, new patient treatments, and providing experiential learning environments.
Steve is a hands-on architect with a proven record leading architectural and engineering teams to effectively deliver complex projects within accelerated schedules and defined budgets. He has completed significant new building and renovation projects for: NYU Langone Medical Center, New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medical College & Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, Schering-Plough/Merck, CIBA/BASF, Novartis, General Electric, Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, FDA, Rutgers University, AMGEN, CNBC, and Bloomberg.
Neill Parker, AIA
Neill Parker, Jr. has spent his architectural career, beginning in the early 1980’s, focused on creatively adding to, enhancing, and preserving environments and buildings of high architectural quality. As a principal of Stonehill & Taylor, his clients include governments, academic and commercial institutions, as well as developers of campuses, and historic, unique properties. His projects have included master plans for entire institutions, new buildings, and renovations and restorations for historically valuable buildings. He has been dedicated to sustainable designs and lifestyles in support of our finite environment since the beginning of his career.

Mike Suomi is a principal and director of design at Stonehill & Taylor. He has an extensive background in developing unique, complex and high profile projects for well-known hospitality clients and boutique properties. Mike approaches each project by creating a unique design narrative which evolves throughout the process to serve as the foundation of the final design solution. He is cognizant of the brand’s overall position in the market and works to generate an innovative design product for the intended target. Mike’s award-winning projects contribute to strong and long lasting client relationships with the firm’s distinguished list of hospitality clients.
Christina Zimmer, AIA
Christina Zimmer is an industry-leading expert in hospitality design who has overseen dozens of large, complex hotel projects in the course of her two-decade career. Her creative problem solving and hands-on approach consistently ensure that jobs remain on schedule and within budget, while her straightforward and accessible management style fosters clear communications among clients, consultants, and contractors. Christina takes special care to provide solutions that exceed client expectations.
