Henry Meltzer is the Executive Vice President and Principal-In-Charge of the health/sciences group at Stonehill & Taylor. He has specialized in the design and equipping of leading healthcare facilities since 1969. His expertise in healthcare facilities has tremendously benefited the firm’s clinical, research, academic, and private practice clients. Henry’s thorough understanding of the complex equipment and space needs for these facilities results in design solutions which uniquely optimize the space. He has been recognized as a leader in healthcare design through his work for some of the nation’s most prestigious institutions, including NYU Langone Medical Center, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical College, Columbia University Medical Center, Yale-New Haven Hospital, and the Hospital for Joint Diseases, Orthopedic Institute, New York.
Steven Oakley is a Principal of Stonehill & Taylor and brings over 25 years of experience programming, planning, and designing health, science and education facilities. His projects are defined and delivered through an engaged end user focused design process. Throughout his career, Steve has focused on leveraging operational criteria and improving work flow of research laboratory environments for scientific discovery, new patient treatments, and providing experiential learning environments.
Neill Parker, Jr. has spent his architectural career, beginning in the early 1980’s, focused on creatively adding to, enhancing, and preserving environments and buildings of high architectural quality. As a principal of Stonehill & Taylor, his clients include governments, academic and commercial institutions, as well as developers of campuses, and historic, unique properties. His projects have included master plans for entire institutions, new buildings, and renovations and restorations for historically valuable buildings. He has been dedicated to sustainable designs and lifestyles in support of our finite environment since the beginning of his career.
Michael Suomi is a Principal and Interior Director of Design at Stonehill & Taylor. He has an extensive background in the development of unique, complex and high profile projects for well-known hospitality clients and boutique properties. Michael is cognizant of the brand’s overall position in the market and works to generate an innovative design product for the intended target. He approaches each project with a unique design narrative. The implementation of which evolves along the process, ultimately serving as the foundation of the final design solution. Mike’s many award-winning projects contribute to strong and long lasting client relationships with the firm’s distinguished list of hospitality clients.
Vince Stroop brings over 18 years of experience in the industry, leading the design of recognized public and private spaces including hotels, libraries, luxury residences, wineries, and restaurants. Specializing in New York hospitality, Vince’s design solutions are informed by his international work in emerging destinations, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Hong Kong and Macau. Projects include work for prominent hospitality brands like Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Intercontinental Hotels, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, Marriott International, MGM Resorts International, Kerzner International Resorts, and Las Vegas Sands Corp. Vince believes that design is a highly interactive process; the best projects are those that embrace a team approach to every challenge.
Steve Chew’s expertise in architecture, interiors and facilities master planning is informed by his keen insight into and skill in both documentation and detailing, enabling him to complete the most complex of projects. He has managed numerous hospitality projects guided by his extensive knowledge of computer aided design (CAD) and the construction process.
Sherry Dennis is a skilled designer with extensive experience working on all facets of project management ranging from property assessment, acquisition, and development to concept design, FF&E selection, and site installation. Her architectural training gives her a versatile background which has proven to be an invaluable resource. Sherry has developed and executed projects in all niches of hospitality design, including hotels, restaurants, bars, and clubs. She is also an integral part of several major branding initiatives for Stonehill & Taylor’s world-class hospitality clients.
Sara Duffy brings unique insight and experience to Stonehill & Taylor’s hospitality and restaurant projects. She started her career at MTV’s New York Headquarters, managing a team of graphic and product designers, as well as the build out of the original MTV store in Times Square. Throughout her career, Sara has designed a variety of projects, including hotels, restaurants, retail centers, and entertainment complexes. She utilizes her background in art history, television and interiors to inform her unique design solutions.
Stephanie Liu works with developers and owners to maximize the project’s program in a highly efficient, professional, responsible manner. Her architectural expertise and coordination skills evidenced in, for example, Refinery and ACE hotels, bring the ideas of both the owner and consultant together, creating a highly successful outcome. Currently focusing on hospitality and high-end residential design, Stephanie has a broad array of experience including design for academic facilities, mixed use and landmark projects. A LEED AP, Liu demonstrates a commitment to progressive and sustainable architecture.
Nino Scarpaci is an experienced project manager for hospitality, residential and healthcare design. His comprehensive breadth of work for high-end projects includes new buildings, renovations, and adaptive reuses. Nino’s dedication and attention to detail ensure that his projects are responsive to both client needs and fit the property’s market positioning. His ability to communicate in a collaborative manner provides clients with clear and complete understandings of phases and milestones.
Paul Weremchuk joined Stonehill & Taylor in 1994. With an expertise in architecture, interiors, and facilities master planning, Paul has produced and managed a robust collection of complex hospitality projects.
