Stonehill & Taylor refurbished the historic 10,000 square foot Biltmore Bowl Ballroom to the five star luxury standard appropriate to this renowned landmark after it had been stripped and reconfigured in the 1950's. A new elevator has been incorporated into the historic fabric of the building, linking the public areas vertically and improving overall circulation. Offering state of the art multi-media audio-visual technology and lighting, the Bowl now supports a variety of business and formal functions. The new construction draws on the architectural and decorative vocabulary of the Spanish Baroque and Italianate detailing throughout the hotel, reflecting the area's heritage. Custom architectural elements, lighting fixtures, carpeting, and opulent fabrics in rich colors, textures and patterns, recall the grandeur of the original ballroom in this historic downtown landmark.
